Description
English: Dish with epigraphic decoration. The Kufic inscription reads: "Magnanimity has first a bitter taste, but at the end it tastes sweeter than honey. Good health [to the owner]." Terracotta, white slip ground and slip underglaze decoration, Khurasan (Iran), 11th–12th century.
Français : Plat à décor épigraphique. L'inscription en koufique signifie : « La magnanimité au début a un goût amer, mais à la fin elle est plus douce que le miel. Santé [au propriétaire]. » Céramique argileuse engobée, décor d'engobe sous glaçure transparente, Khorassan (Iran), XIe-XIIe siècle.
