Description
English: Polymer swell after passing narrow spaces

1 – In a zone of small shear stresses (with small deformation), the macromolecules have roughly spherical form of globules to maximize entropy.
2 – When passing narrow spaces (e.g. between calender rolls, extruder dies), the globules lengthen along the flow direction and contract in perpendicular directions.

3 – After passing narrow, limited space, macromolecules regain their original globular form to maximize entropy.


Magyar: Polimerek duzzadása szűk helyen történő áthaladás után

1: Kis nyírású zónában (kis deformációk) a makromolekulák gombolyag alakúak (a maximális entrópiára törekednek).
2: Szűk helyen (pl. kalanderhengerek között, extruder szerszámnyílásán) áthaladva a hidraulikus ellenállás csökkentése érdekében a makromolekulák az áramlás irányában megnyúlnak, erre merőlegesen összenyomódnak.

3: Miután áthaladtak a szűk, korlátozott helyen, a makromolekulák ismét gombolyag alakúak lesznek.

1 – В зоне небольших напрежений сдвига и деформаций макромолекулы имеют приблизительно сферическую форму клубка (для накопления энтропии).
2 – В узких местах (например в зазоре каландра, в профилирующем отверстии червячной машины) макромолекулы ориентируются - клубки удлиняются по направлению течения и сжимаются в перпендикулярных направлениях.

3 –Прошедши узкое место, макромолекулы опять приобретают форму клубка.
