Deutsch: Bei den Häftlingen des Hessentaler Lagers handelte es sich in ganz überwiegender Mehrzahl um polnische Juden, die zuvor in den Arbeitslagern in Radom und Umgebung für die deutsche Besatzungsmacht geschuftet hatten. Nachdem die SS Radom vor der anrückenden sowjetischen Armee evakuiert hatte, wurden die Häftlinge nach Auschwitz verschleppt. Auf der dortigen Rampe selektierte man die Arbeitsfähigen; ihre Angehörigen und Freunde gingen in die Gaskammern. Die Überlebenden wurden in Viehwaggons nach Vaihingen/Enz transportiert. Von dort kamen sie nach Hessental. |
