Die Zellen der letzteren zeigen, insoweit sie nicht schräg- getröffen sind, ventrale Fortsätze. Auf die Frage, ob der N. trochlearis aus einem Seitenhorn- oder einem Vorderhornkern komme, möchte ich nicht zuviel Gewicht legen. Die Zellen- gruppen, denen seine Fasern entstammen, liegen zum Teil in den Seiten- abschnitten, zum Teil in den basalen Strecken der Mantelschicht. ^J Beim Übergang zum Mittelhirn verbreitert sich das Markrohr, besonders an seiner Basis und nun sammeln sich aus der ziemlich breiten Querzone

In diesem Punkte nähern sich unsre Auffassungen, in andrer Hinsicht stehen wir auf völlig ver- schiedenem Boden.
