(Zu Seite 48.) findet sich kaum andeutungsweise. Die ventrale Mantelsehicht ist im all- gemeinen ziemlich breit, aber ihre Kerne und Zellen liegen anscheinend regellos durcheinander. Es ist mir wahrscheinlich, daß ein Teil der Zellen der absteigenden Trigeminuswurzel angehört, aber eine scharfe Sonderung dieser Anlage vermag ich nicht durchzuführen. Mit der Annäherung an den Isthmus wird das Querschnittbild wieder regelmäßiger, dorsale und ventrale Hälfte zeigen wieder basalwärts gerichtete Xeuroblasten und Bogen- fasern. Der Isthmus charakterisiert sich, abgesehen von seiner geringen Weite und seiner Abplattung, durch seine Beziehungen zum X. trochlearis (Fig. 31, His, Die Ent^yicklung d. niensehl. Gehirns. 4
