| Description |
As I pulled into Bethnal Green on this train on Wednesday morning we were all told to get off the train as it was being taken out of service due to a fault. We all piled onto the platform - you can see how full it was here, and of course people kept coming down from ground level to try and catch a train. The train shown here pulled away after a few minutes, and then another train came in, understandably packed - almost no-one could get on, so the train left. The next train came in an, for some reason, people decided this was the one to go for, and really tried to get on. The result? A passenger taken ill on the carriage next to me, presumably because of the overcrowding, and the emergency alarm is pulled causing more delays and crowding. It was a good illustrator of the knock on effects of a faulty train. |
