The trade pass given to the Dutch by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1609. Nederlands: Akte van vrijgeleide voor alle havens in Japan door de Shogun Ieyasu aan Jacques Groenewegen.
Orandabune Nihon ni tokai no toki izureno ura ni chakugan seshimuru to iedomo sôiarubekarazu zôrô. Kyoko konomune o mamori iginaku ôraiserarubeku isasakano soi arumajiku sôrônari. Yote kudan no gotoshi. Keichô Jûyonen Shigatsu Nijûgonichi. ‘Goshuin’. Chakusu Kurûnbeike. Er wordt bevolen dat de Nederlandse schepen, zonder uitzondering, wanneer zij naar Japan komen, iedere baai kunnen binnenlopen. In de toekomst moeten zij voortdurend af en aan komen, dit in gedachten houdend, en zij moeten dit in ’t geheel niet verwaarlozen. Het bevel luidt zoals hierboven Gedateerd 24 augustus 1609 ‘L.S.’ Aan Jacques Groenewegen. |
