Description
English: Derwent Dam in Full Flow This is the Derwent Dam in full flow - the water is pouring over the top of the dam and down the sloping rock face making it very spectacular (it's designed to do this). The Dam is probably most famous for its use by pilots of the 617 Squadron, practising the low-level flights and the bouncing bomb needed for the Dam Busters raids in the Second World War, due to its similarity to the German dams...
