Summary[edit]

Description
English: Derivation of a P3 Penrose tiling from the walls/wheels system. 5 iterations, upper half only.

The yellow thing approximates the green Conway curve derived from kites and darts and seen everywhere (e. g. here), but deviates from it to demonstrate P3 matching rules.

See http://course.irccity.ru/RR5D_tiling.pdf for mathematical details.

Easily noticeable overlapping regular decagons might be related to this article by Petra Gummelt.
