Gequälte Leinwand
Seelische Verwesung
Krankhafte Phantasten

English: Photo taken 2021 in the exhibitions of the Center for Studies of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities (Norwegian: HL-senteret) in Oslo, Norway:
  • Postcard promoting the antisemtic 'The Eternal Jew' art exhibition (German: Der ewige Jude) displayed at the Library of the German Museum in Munich from 8 November 1937 to 31 January 1938. The poster for the exhibition shows a stereotypical Jew with the attributes of usury, a scourge and a world map of Bolshevism. The author is unknown: Published using the pseudonym "Horst Schlüter".
  • Flyer for the Degenerate Art Exhibition (German: Die Ausstellung "Entartete Kunst") organized by the Nazi Party in Munich from 19 July to 30 November 1937. The exhibition presented 650 works of art, confiscated from German museums, that "insult German feeling, or destroy or confuse natural form or simply reveal an absence of adequate manual and artistic skill".

Translation:
Tortured canvas
Mental decay
Pathological fantasists
Insane incompetents
awarded by Jewish cliques, praised by literati, were products and producers of an "art" for which state and municipal institutions recklessly squandered millions of German national wealth while German artists starved to death at the same time. Just as that "state" was, so was its "art".
