HENRY J. B. McKELLOPS, D. D S. THE DENTAL REVIEW. Vol. XV. CHICAGO, MAY 15, 1901. No. 5 ORIGINAL COMMUNICATIONS. THE OUTLOOK IX* DENTAL EDUCATION.*By Edward C. Kirk, D. D. S., Philadelphia, Pa. I once derived much pleasure and intellectual profit fromreading John Fiskes essay entitled The Destiny of Man Viewedin the Light of His Origin, and not the least source of interestwhich ihe work contained was the principle suggested in its titlethat mans destiny may in some measure be deduced from the studyof his origin. The evolutional method in studying mans develop-ment is as applicable to his social arid economic growth as it is tohis physical development, and it has seemed to me that in the lightof the principle here referred to we might gain a clearer insightinto the conditions which have determined the course of our profes-sional development and a hint at least of its probable result. Orto paraphrase the title of Professor Fiskes book, we propose toinquire as to the Destiny of Dentistry
