| Description |
Русский: ММСК из пульпы молочного зуба на культуральном пластике. Изображение в обратно-рассеянных электронах (BSE), полученное после контрастирования лантаноидами (BioREE, Россия) на сканирующем электронном микроскопе EVO LS10 (Zeiss, Германия) в режиме низкого вакуума без фиксации, обезвоживания и напыления образца (лаборатория фундаментальных исследований ФГБНУ «НИИ глазных болезней»). Контрастированы элементы цитоскелета, ядро с ядрышками, в нижней части снимка — порции синтезированного клеткой продукта. Оказалось, что синтезированное клеткой вещество практически невозможно визуализировать «обычными» методами, так как при наблюдениях за живой клеткой в жидкости оно недостаточно контрастно, а при классической фиксации это вещество полностью растворяется.

This is a BSE-image of a lanthanoid-stained sample taken with EVO LS10 scanning electron microscope (Zeiss, Germany) without prior fixation, nor dehydration, nor sputtering (a method developed by BioREE, Russia, with support from the Research Institute of Eye Diseases, Russia). The following structures can be seen: cytoskeleton components, nucleus with nucleoli, and some yet unidentified compounds synthesized by the cell (at the bottom of the image). These compounds have been found impossible to be visualized using common methods of sample preparation as they have too little contrast if the sample is observed under fully hydrated conditions (wet SEM) and dissolve completely if it is fixed.
