Deutsch: Die Dena meldete in ihrer Nachmittagsausgabe am 24. Mai 1922 einen schwebenden Rücktritt von Reichskanzler Joseph Wirth und ein Zerwürfnis mit Finanzminister Andreas Hermes (beide Zentrum). Die ausführliche Schilderung aus dem Kabinett schien dem Kern der Nachricht Substanz zu geben, doch war dies hoch spekulativ und zum Zeitpunkt der Meldung schlicht falsch. Die Nachricht beschädigte das Ansehen der Dena sehr. Die Berliner Volks-Zeitung baute die Dena-Meldung zwar als Lang-Zitat in ihren Aufmacher auf der Titelseite ein, machte jedoch die Distanzierung der Zeitungsredaktion deutlich, weil der Wahrheitsgehalt zu problematisch erschien. English: The Dena agency reported in its May 24, 1922, afternoon edition the imminent resignation of Reich Chancellor Joseph Wirth and a deep discord with his finance minister, Andreas Hermes (both Center party). The detailed account from the cabinet seemed to provide substance to the news core, but it was highly speculative and, at the time of the report, plainly wrong. This report seriously damaged the Dena's reputation. The newspaper, Berliner Volks-Zeitung, included a long quote of the Dena piece in its front page lead story, but did so in a fashion which made the the editors' disassociation clear.
