Notes: Women in New South Wales won the right to vote in 1902. The Womanhood Suffrage League of NSW had been fighting for this right since its formation in Sydney in 1891. Inscription: "Demonstration of gratitude from the WSL of NSW to Sir W Lyne & Sir John See / Sept 15th 1902 Protestant Hall. Mayor of Sydney in the chair / Bill passed 3d reading Upper House. August 14 1902" -- inscription in ink on mount below photograph "Kerry & Co / 310 George Street Sydney" -- embossed on mount below photograph "Speakers / R Scott / Mrs Lowe / Miss Locke / Miss Hickman / Sir W Lyne / Sir J Lee / Mr J Fegan / Mr A Griffith" -- inscribed in pencil on back of mount
