Summary
[edit]DescriptionDemonstrating the Trebuchet - geograph.org.uk - 562414.jpg |
English: Demonstrating the Trebuchet A medieval siege weapon, the trebuchet could launch large boulders and other nasty things such as dead pigs into a castle that was being besieged. This one in the grounds of Warwick castle claims to be the largest in the world. It is built of 300 parts and stands 18 metres high. It weighs 22 tonnes. Here we see it being prepared to launch its payload. |
