| Description |
English: Demolition of PWC building, London Bridge - nearly complete. The PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) building above London Bridge station was demolished in 2008/9 as the first phase of preparatory works for the construction of the much taller 'Shard'tower. There appears to be no clear Geograph of the tower before demolition started, but it can be seen wrapped in scaffolds and sheeting soon after work started in 1024272, and just a week before this photo in 1115116.
The demolition revealed a view of the west end of the Southern Railway trainshed that had been hidden for a long time! |
