Droplet of cellulose nanocrystal

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cellulose is the most abundant bio-polymer on this planet. Cellulose nanocrystals are formed after chemically isolating these crystalline structures from for example wood or cotton. Here you can see a polarised microscopy image of cellulose nanocrystals in water which formed a droplet on a capillary wall.
