Summary[edit]

Description
English: Deer caught on a fence east of Stanton St John, Oxfordshire. Sometimes when a deer tries to jump a fence one of its hind legs may be too low. If there are two strands of wire these can twist around the leg and trap the deer. The animal needs to be released from the fence and should be taken to a wildlife hospital. Otherwise its wounds, although looking superficial, may prove fatal.
