English: Dedication of a memorial at Tshimakain commemorating the establishment of a mission among the Spokane Indians on these grounds by the Reverends Cushing Eells and Elkanah Walker from Sept. 1838 to Mar. 1848. Unidentified man making a speech from the front porch of the Eells home in background. Monument erected by the State Historical Society and the Congregational Churches of Washington. On sleeve of negative: Seeing Spokane Tour vehicle and tourists. See also photos 2607 and 1891
