| Description |
English: A decaying road, and beyond it a decaying path, beween sections H and H-B at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Washington, D.C., in the United States in 2014.
Prospect Hill Cemetery was added to the Register of Historic Places of the District of Columbia (a listing of historic sites maintained by the city) in 2005. Section H-B is known as "Babyland", and is exclusively devoted to stillborn, infant, and child burials. Prospect Hill Cemetery does not have an endowment. The cemetery's revenues come exclusively from the sale of burial plots and burials, of which only five or six occur a year. Much of the cemetery is in a mild state of disrepair, such as this road and path. |
