English: Death in the pasture - closer view. See also 1292482.
The fact that the wheels, brake drums and steering components have crumbled almost to dust make me think that these remains really have lain here, gradually disappearing, for maybe forty years. There is no evidence of body panels or interior, apart from the steering wheel (just beyond the offside front wheel). I think the vehicle was a van, and that the engine is of BMC origin - maybe someone with more intimate motoring knowledge can be more accurate. There is another van nearby heading the same way - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1291378 . |
