| Description |
Congratulations to PC Annie Yorke who won the prestigious 'Police Officer of the Year' award at our annual Diamond Awards ceremony. Annie went above and beyond to help solve what initially seemed like a simple neighbour dispute, and as a result helped avoid a potential tragedy from occurring. After initial reports to police, Annie helped support the victims, secure evidence and seek assistance from the council. However, after the family moved home the offender still located and harassed the family. Worried at this escalation, Annie went the extra mile to speak to health professionals and partners. As a result of Annie’s perseverance and attention the man was arrested and a cache of dangerous weapons recovered. |
