Description U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District project manager Dave Cook watches as large rock called rip-rap is maneuvered to an erosion repair site along the American River’s south bank near Watt Avenue in Sacramento, Calif., Nov. 18, 2011. Cook is overseeing repairs of two nearby critical erosion sites between November 2011 and July 2012.
