From left to right: Teletype Model 35 with paper tape reader/punch; PDP8, with 8192 words of 12-bit core memory and power supplies; paper tape punch (top), control panels for two IBM multiplexor channel interfaces (middle), paper tape reader (bottom); two custom IBM multiplexor channel interfaces and multiplexor gear for 24 asynchronous serial interfaces for dial-in modems; multiplexor gear for four synchronous serial interfaces for dial-in modems. DEC used a teddy bear similar to the one perched above the rack in an ad campaign to emphasize how cute their products were. UMich placed an order for one Ursus Theodorus, part number and price to be determined. The bear in the photo was delivered complete with a DEC part number and identification tag.
