| Description |
English: Dartmoor: Rippon Tor Triangulation Pillar The copious amounts of loose moorstone on the summit must have been piled up by the surveyors using the trig point to provide some shelter while they were observing. The Ordnance Survey's archived OSGB36 co-ordinates of this triangulation pillar are Easting 274658.469, Northing 75572.328, and the height of the flush bracket (not visible in this image) is 475.905 metres above sea level. |
