Description

NPS/Patrick Myers

  1. WildlifeWednesday - A beautiful dark morph Swainson's hawk calls to its mate near Lane 6, which runs along the southern boundary of the national park. After nesting here during warmer months, Swainson's hawks 'kettle' - forming swirling aerial groups - in preparation for an incredible 6,000 mile (9,657km) journey back to Argentina.
