Description
Built as the Laura by Irvine's Shipbuilding & Drydock Co of West Hartlepool (yard no. 103) and delivered to the Pyman Steamship Company of West Hartlepool in June 1898. Bought in February 1913 by A. P. Møller for Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg in Svendborg, Denmark. New name Laura Mærsk. In August 1917 bought by Det Nordenfjeldske D/S of Trondheim, Norway and named Knut Jarl. In 1933 bought by the shipping company Notos of Haugesund, Norway and named Notos.
