Search and rescue: Homes near the Texas-Louisiana border lie damaged or destroyed following the pounding they took from Hurricane Rita's wind and rain. The homes were in an area searched by the 349th Air Expeditionary Group. The search-and-rescue unit, staging from Randalph Air Force Base, Texas, is made up of active-duty and Reserve forces.
