Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk aircraft (BuNo 149599) from Attack Squadron VA-34 Blue Blasters after having landed on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11). The aircraft was burning after being hit by ground fire. Note the pilot escaping the aircraft via the inflight refueling probe. VA-34 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 10 (CVW-10) aboard the Intrepid for a deployment to Vietnam from 11 May to 30 December 1967.
