Summary[edit]
DescriptionDNA Replication in prokaryotes.png |
English: DNA replication requires cooperation between various proteins, including enzymes. There are slight differences between the team of proteins in prokaryotic vs eukaryotic cells. However, the functions are the same. [Note that the sequences are not drawn to scale. Okazaki fragments are typically ~100 - 200 nucleotides in eukaryotic cells and ~1200 nucleotides in prokaryotic cells. RNA primers range from ~5 - 12 bases.] |
