English: Illustration of 70 year expire of Danish Copyright (da: ophavsret) §63. The author died in 1959 (red). Counting from the first year after the artist's death, his works stay protected by copyright for 70 complete years (yellow, in this example 1 January 1960 - 31 December 2029). Copyright expires on 1 January after the 70 complete years (p.m.a.) have passed, i.e. on 1 January 2030, where the artist's works become ineglible for copyright (green).
