Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Westheim/Westfalen seit 1975 Stadtteil von Marsberg: „In Gold (Gelb) ein schwarzer schreitender Hirsch; darüber im Schildhaupt vorn eine schrägrechte grüne Weizenähre und hinten ein schräglinkes grünes Eichenblatt.“ Das Wappen wurde abgeleitet vom Wappen der einflußreichen Herrscherfamilie, der Grafen zu Stolberg, welche einen Hirsch im Wappen führten. Die Weizenähre steht für die Landwirtschaft und das Eichenblatt für die waldreiche Umgebung.
English: „Or, a deer sable passant; in the chief, ahead a bendy wheat ear vert and rear an oak leave vert sinister.“ The arms are derived from the Counts of Stolberg, the powerful family in the area and followers of the extincted Lords of Westheim, who showed a deer on their arms. The wheat ear symbolises the aggriculture and the oak leave the better wooded area.
