Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Wertherbruch: „In silbernem (weißem) Schild eine rote ummauerte Stadt mit drei blau gedeckten Türmen. In der Mitte steht ein blau gedecktes Haus, aus dessen Dach eine rote, oben in einem Ring endende Stange herauswächst. Auf dem linken Turm hängt über einem Torbogen mit Fallgitter ein silberner (weißer) Schild mit einem gekrönten und doppeltgeschwänzten schwarzen Löwen.“ Vorlage für dieses Motiv war das historische Gerichtssiegel des Dorfes, das bislang erstmalig 1366 nachweisbar ist. Der kleine Schild zeigt den Löwen der Herren van der Leck. Das Wappen wurde am 3. Juli 1953 vom Regierungspräsidenten in Düsseldorf genehmigt.
English: The arms were granted on July 3, 1953. The arms show a town and a small shield with a lion with the arms of the Lords of van der Leck.
