Deutsch: „Unter einem roten Schildhaupt, das durch eine wellenförmige Teilungslinie abgesetzt ist und in silbernen Buchstaben die Worte MONS PRAECLARE enthält, in silbernem Feld ein linksgewandter roter Halbmond, zwischen dem ein rotes achtspitziges Kreuz in der Weise steht, dass der linke und die senkrechten Kreuzarme die Mondsichel berühren, dar-unter die beiden Hälften einer auseinandergerissenen schwarzen Kette.“ Der Gemeinde Ruppichteroth ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 2. November 1970 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden.
English: „The arms were officially granted to the Amt Ruppichteroth in 1949 and are based on a local legend. The local knight Dietrich of Bruell is said to have joined Emperor Friedrich I on a crusade. He was imprisoned, but freed. When he finally returned he exclaimed that the mountains were so beautiful. This story is shown as the Islamic crescent and Christian cross (shown as the cross of the Knights of Malta), the broken chains for his freedom and the latinized exclamation.“
