Object history
Deutsch: Das Reichstal Harmersbach fiel 1803 an Baden, 1814 wurde es in die zwei selbstständigen Gemeinden Ober- und Unterharmersbach aufgeteilt. Wiewohl der Sprengel der St. Galluskirche nur das nachmalige Oberharmersbach umfasste, ist die Figur des Heiligen Gallus mit dem Bären zur Kennzeichnung von Grenzsteinen und als Siegelbild des gesamten Reichstals seit dem ausgehenden 17. Jahrhundert verwendet worden. Nach 1814 führten sowohl Ober- als Unterharmersbach in ihren Gemeindesiegeln dieses Motiv weiter. 1962 wurde es für Oberharmersbach in einen Schild gestellt, zehn Jahre später ist die heute gültige Farbgebung festgelegt worden.
