Deutsch: Schwert und Richtrad versinnbildlichen das Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche. Auf die Deutung des Ortsnamens Erbach = Erlenbach verweist der Erlenzweig. Die Wellenspaltung macht auf die landschaftlich reizvolle Lage des Ortes im Erbachtal aufmerksam. Als Zeichen für die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zu Kurtrier wurden dessen Wappenfarben Rot und Silber in das Wappen von Niedererbach aufgenommen.
