Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Stadt Langenberg (Rheinland), seit 1975 Stadtteil von Velbert:
„Unter blauem Schildhaupt, darin ein schwebender, breiter (langer) silberner (weißer) Dreiberg, in Silber (Weiß) auf blauem Dreiberg eine rote Eiche mit fünf Eicheln und acht Blättern.“
Der früher befestigte Kirchspielort erhielt 1831 Stadtrechte. Das 1929 vom preußischen Staatsministerium verliehen Wappen, deutet durch den "langen Berg" im Schildhaupt auf den Ortsnamen hin. Die Eiche steht für den höchsten Berg im Gemeindegebiet, dem Eickeshagen, auf dem die älteste Kirche stand. Sie ist das Siegelbild der evangelischen Kirche seit der Reformation.

English: „Below a chief azure, therein a "long" triple mountain pending Argent; Argent, above a triple mountain azure, an oak tree gules with five oaks and eight leaves.“ The arms were granted in 1929. The arms show in the upper part a canting 'long mountain', with the two valleys in the municipality. The oak tree symbolises the Eickeshagen mountain, on which the first church was built. The colours are taken from the colours of the arms of the counts of Berg (see the county arms).
