Object history
Deutsch: Seit 1520 gehört Kirschroth zu gleichen Teilen zur Alt-Dhaun´schen und zur Kyrburgischen Linie der Wildgrafen. Diese Farben kehren im Schach des Wappens wieder. Der Schach selbst ist Hinweis auf die Rheingrafen von Grumbach, denen Kirschroth bis 1792 gehörte. Der Fuchs steht für die volksmundliche Bezeichnung „Kirschrother Füchse", während die Traube im Fang den bedeutsamen Weinbau symbolisiert.
