Summary[edit]
DescriptionDEU Hoengen COA.svg |
English: „Azure a langued gules lion rampant Argent above two escutcheons Argent; ahead, an escutcheon sinister, above a hill vert a stemed gules und leaved vert tilia tree and dexter three pales gules charged saltirewise with triangles Or, therein, each one langued gules and eyes Argent lion guardant head sable.“ The arms were granted in 1934. They show the lion of Jülich, who is taken from the arms of the County, later Duchy of Jülich, as until the 13th century the municipality was part of the Jülich county. The escutcheons in the lower part symbolise the the parish of Warden and their powerful families Collenbach (tilia tree) und von Fürth (pales, lion heads). |
