Deutsch: Herrischried gehörte zur Einung Görwihl der Grafschaft Hauenstein im bis 1805 vorderösterreichischen Breisgau. Für das Gemeindewappen griff man 1905 auf das vorhandene Siegelbild zurück. Die Tanne ist dem Wappen der Grafschaft Hauenstein (Tanne mit zwei Eichhörnchen) entnommen. Die Hirsche dienen als Symbol für den einstigen Wildreichtum der Gegend. Die Gemeinde verwendete jedoch die alten Stempel zunächst weiter. Die sechs in den Jahren 1973/74 eingemeindeten Orte hatten einst ebenfalls zur Grafschaft Hauenstein gehört und führen in ihren Wappen unter anderem die Hauensteiner Tanne, Wehrhalden auch einen Hirsch. So hat das Wappen umfassende Aussagekraft auch für die heutige Gemeinde Herrischried. Die Flagge wurde am 30. Juni 1977 durch das Landratsamt Waldshut verliehen. |
