Summary[edit]
DescriptionDEU Heisingen COA.svg |
English: „Argent a wall tri-folded embattled gules with open gate above one plate, in the upper half a suspended upright three-leaves beech branch vert, surrounded by six torteaux.“
The arms were drawn by Kurt Schweder who designed coats of arms for all districts of Essen in die 1980s; they were never official used, but meanwhile recognized by the citizens of Essen and its districts. The arms is canting; "Heisingen" or "Hesingi" means clearing in the beech forest. The torteaux and the plate are derived from the arms of the Lords von Stael, as a hint of a former manor. |
