Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Harthausen gehörte früher zum Amt Marientraut im Hochstift Speyer. Auf ihrer Gemarkung war im Jahre 1230 das später in die Gegend von Edenkoben verlegte Zisterzienserinnenkloster Heilsbruck gegründet wurden. Das Klostergut in Harthausen blieb den Zisterzienserinnen erhalten, die auch weiterhin Abgaben von dort bezogen. Zwischen dem nunmehr auf kurpfälzischem Gebiet gelegenen Kloster Heilsbruck und der Gemeinde entstanden 1495 beigelegte Streitigkeiten um die Erbbestandsmühle in Harthausen. Deswegen trägt wohl das im 17. Jahrhundert angenommene Gerichtssiegel von Harthausen zwei kurpfälzische Löwen, die einen Mühlstein in den Vorderpranken halten. Gemäß diesem Siegelbild ist der Gemeinde 1845 in den kurpfälzischen Farben Schwarz und Gold ein Wappen verliehen worden. 1951 wurde das Wappen dahingehend berichtigt, dass zwar die nunmehr eingebürgerte Wappendarstellung beibehalten wurde, aber ergänzt durch eine Lilie in den hochstift-speyerischen wie auch marianischen Farben; die Lilie steht für die Gottesmutter im Siegel von Heilsbruck. |
