Deutsch: Die drei Flachsblüten stammen aus dem Wappen von Rossach; sie weisen auf den einst im Itztal bedeutenden Flachsanbau hin. Der Abtstab und die Farben Blau und Gold stammen aus dem Wappen des Klosters Langheim, das im Gemeindegebiet die Oberherrschaft über die sogenannten "Eigensdörfer" Gossenberg, Neuses an der Eichen und Watzendorf hatte. Das Mühlrad weist auf die Nutzung der Wasserkraft im Gemeindegebiet entlang der Itz hin und steht somit stellvertretend für die Ortsteile Großheirath und Buchenrod.
English: The flax flowers are derived from the arms of the former municipality Rossach; the crozier and the colours Or and azure are derived from the arms of the monastery Langheim. The water wheel symbolises the using of waterpower along the Itz river and it stands also for the villages Großheirath and Buchenrod. |
