Summary[edit]

Description
English: The arms were granted on August 7, 1954. The arms show the tower of the local church, the only historical monument in the town. The village historically was ruled by the Counts of Moers and the Archbishops of Köln, which is symbolised by the two small shields. The church is placed on a canting mountain.
Deutsch: In Grün über einem in der Mitte abgeflachten schwarzen Dreiberg ein goldener Kirchturm; in der Mitte rechts ein kleines silbernes (weißes) Schild darüber ein schwarzes Kreuz und links ein kleines goldenes (gelbes) Schild geteilt durch einen schwarzen Balken. Das Wappen zeigt den Turm der 1332 erstmals (als Patrozinium St. Lambert) erwähnten evangelischen Kirche. Die kleinen Wappen stehen für die früheren Regenten Budbergs, Kurköln und die Grafschaft Moers.
