Deutsch: Das Wappen ist dem alten Schöffensiegel Bislichs entnommen. Die untere Hälfte des Schildes enthält die Lilienhaspel, auch Glevenkreuz oder Lilienkreuz genannt, des Wappens der Herzöge von Kleve, als Zeichen der Zugehörigkeit der Gemeinde zum Herzogtum Kleve.
English: The arms are derived from an old seal and show the patron saint John the Evangelist and the escarbuncle symbolises the former belonging to the Duchy of Cleves. |
