Description
Deutsch: Wappen des Stadtteils Bergeborbeck, seit 1977 Stadtteil von Essen, davor zum Stadtteil Vogelheim gehörend :
„In Silber (Weiß) über einem grünen Dreiberg, belegt mit einem silbernen (weißen) Wellenbalken, schwebend eine aufrechte rote Pferdepramme mit silbernen (weißen) Kordeln.“

Das Wappen wurde von Kurt Schweder entworfen und hatte nie offiziellen Charakter. Ende der 1980er Jahre schuf der Heraldiker für alle Essener Stadtteile Wappen. Sie sind inzwischen von der Essener Bevölkerung gut angenommen worden.

Das Wappen ist ein sogenanntes "redendes Wappen"; der Dreiberg steht für "Berge-" und der Wellenbalken für "-beck" (Bach). Er bezieht sich hier auf den Borbecker Mühlenbach. Bergeborbeck entwickelte sich um den Rittersitz "op dem Berge", 1467 erstmals erwähnt, welche die Pferdepramme im Wappen führten. Ihnen gehörte auch Haus Ripshorst

English: „Argent, above a triple mountain vert, charged with a fess wavy Argent, a pending upright hempbreak gules with cords Argent.“

The arms were drawn by Kurt Schweder who designed coats of arms for all districts of Essen in die 1980s; they were never official used, but meanwhile recognized by the citizens of Essen and its districts.

The arms are canting; the triple mountain stands for "Berge-" and the fess wavy for "-beck" (Bach), here correlating to the "Borbecker Mühlenbach". The hempbreak is derived from the arms of the Lords op dem Berge, owner of the 1467 first mentioned manor.
