Object history
Deutsch: Bereborn gehörte in der Feudalzeit zur Grafschaft Virneburg. Die Herren von Virneburg führten in ihrem Wappen 7 rote Rauten. Deshalb wurden in den oberen Wappenteil die Virneburger Rauten aufgenommen. Der Ziehbrunnen im Unteren Teil des Wappens soll auf den Ortsnamen hinweisen. In der Mundart bedeutet die Endsilbe "born" Quelle oder Brunnen.
