Description
Deutsch: Wappen des ehemaligen Amtes Sonsbeck: „In goldenem (gelbem) mit einem dreiteiligen blauen Wellenbalken belegtem Schild eine rechte obere Vierung, darin eine goldene (gelbe) Sonne. Oben links eine blaue Glocke, unten fünf im verhältnis 3:2, rote Schindeln.“ Das Wappen symbolisiert die drei zum Amt gehörenden Gemeinden Sonsbeck, Hamb und Labbeck. Sonne und Wellenbalken stehen "redend" für Sonsbeck; die Glocke für Hamb und die fünf Schindeln stammen aus dem Wappen von Labbeck.
English: The arms were officially granted on October 17, 1962. The arms are a combination of elements from the different municipalities in the Amt; the sun and fess wavy from Sonsbeck, the bell from Hamb and the tiles of Labbeck.
