Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Altschermbeck: „In Grün gespalten durch einen silbernen (weißen) Wellenbalken.“ Das Wappen zeigt die Lage Altschermbecks am Schermbecker Mühlenbach und an der Lippe in grüner (ländlicher) Umgebung. Das Wappen kann auch als "redend" bezeichnet werden, da es einen Bach (Becke) zeigt. Es wurde 1934 durch den Oberpräsidenten der preußischen Provinz Westfalen verliehen.
English: Vert, a pale wavy argent. The arms symbolise the location of the village near by the Schermbecker Mühlenbach and the Lippe river.
