Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Hörstel, seit 1975 Ortsteil von Hörstel: „In Gold (Gelb), einer roter Schrägrechtsbalken belegt mit drei silbernen (weißen) Rauten.“ Das Wappen ist abgeleitet von dem der Herren von Hörstel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Da keine Farben bekannt waren, wurden die Farben des Bistums Münster und der Grafschaft Tecklenburg verwendet.
English: „Or, a bend gules with three lozenges Argent.“ The arms were granted on August 3, 1939. The arms are derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Hörstel, known from the 14th century. As the historical colours were no longer known, the colours of Tecklenburg/Münster were chosen, as the town historically belonged to the State of Münster and the district of Tecklenburg.
